Park Dong Jin Pansori Museum:
It was established by Park Dong-jin (a master of Jeokbyeokga, designated as Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 5). During his lifetime, Park was regarded as a “phoenix” as he persevered through many trials and tribulations, while dedicating his entire life to the art of pansori, or recitation of dramatic songs. The Pansori Training Center was established in his birthplace, Mureung-dong, with the aim of fostering pansori practitioners among the younger generations and carrying on the legacy of pansori. Park Dong-jin is known for his countless meritorious deeds and contributions to pansori, but he is most praised for having contributed to the revival of pansori through the Pansori Presentation. The pansori master was devoted to the art of pansori for more than 80 years and was involved in a broad scope of activities such as traditional and original pansori performances and satirical performances staged at schools and on TV shows. Gyeryongsan Ceramics Villiage
Gyeryongsan Ceramics Village is famous for ceramics experience program, which covering 1.65ha in area. Also many people go there enjoy walking or having a Korea tea in Cafe there. It is Korea’s first pottery and ceramics community that was established in 1993 by 18 potters and ceramists in their 30s and 40s, who wanted to develop the area as a hub of pottery culture where traditional and modern elements co-exist. Gongsanseong Fortress
Gongsanseong Fortress in Gongju gained recognition for its value as an ancient fortress of Baekje that was built during the Ungjin period (475~538). The construction technique that involved compacting fine soil and sandy soil alternately and the building site, where ditches were created for the erection of columns and fine sand was applied to the walls, serve as valuable sources of information that provides insight into Baekje’s civil engineering technology, which underwent advancement through cultural exchanges with ancient China and Japan.
The Songsan-ri Tombs
The Songsan-ri Tombs and Royal Tomb of King Muryeong (reign 462-523) contains representative relics of the Baekje period (234-678). The Songsan-ri Tombs contain the graves of kings from the period when Baekje’s capital was Gongju, and it is believed to contain 17 such graves. Only seven graves have been discovered so far. There are two types of tomb designs, traditional Baekje-style rock and earth fortification tomb and Chinese-influenced rock tomb. First five tombs were made using the traditional Baekje-style design while tomb number six and the Royal Tomb of King Muryeong was made using the Chinese-influenced design. The only Mureong tomb has not been stolen. Therefore, It has been preserved well and founded many historically important artifacts.
Korea traditional archery center
Korea has a long history of highly skilled archers, able to hit targets at long ranges and from horseback. In order to develop local tourism and traditional culture, This Korea traditional archery center was established in May 2008 with the purpose of using the local tourism resource. It is said that the motto is “Gong Ju should be the place people wants to stay, People like to visit again.”. Opening hours are from Monday to Friday: 10 am to 2 pm, The cost is 2000won for 5 shots to adults, 1,000 won for children also with 5 shot. The instructor would teach how to play and give you safe guide line. .

Magoksa temple
The name Magok temple comes from a few reasons introduced. Most popular name origins is that Many people gather to Magoksa for listening to the Monk speech and it looks like hemp in the valley. So people call this temple 마MA(Hemp) 곡Gok(valley) 사Sa(temple). In AD 640, It was established by the famous Monk named Jaz ang. The respected Korea nationalist hero “KimGu” stayed here for avoiding the Japan police to arrest him. Becasue he by killed a Japanese military officer in revenge for the Queen death by Japan. It has very beautiful walking trail and also very important Korea buddism culture. Therefore it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018.
